The Girls From Alcyone II: Vengeance

This Week: Let's face it, things were not looking good for Sigrid last week. Poor thing, we truly left her hanging, feet dangling in the air, deadly fist wrapped around her throat. Let's see how she's doing this week, shall we.

The woman reached forward with her other hand, one finger held out. Sigrid heard the snick and saw the needlelike appendage spring forth from the tip of her finger. Without warning, she jammed it into the PCM access port behind Sigrid's ear. The probe entered her with a sharp, stabbing deliberateness; pain came in shooting waves, coursing through her limbs. Immediately Sigrid was aware of the invasive programs worming their way into her network, tearing vital information from her database. Only the crushing grip on her throat kept her from crying out.

She had only seconds of life, but it mattered little. The probe had asked, and powerless, she had answered; Andraste, Alcyone, all of their secrets, Sigrid had given them freely, unable to stop herself.

"No…"

Side note: I'm running a free weekend for my first book 'The Girls...' on Amazon this weekend. Most of you are so cool you already have it. For the rest of you, be like the cool kids and go grab a copy!

  1. What a telltale that PCM is! She needs to update her firewall. Poor Sigrid :(

  3. Seems like things have only worsened since last week. I can't imagine how she'll recover from this, but I can't wait to see how she does. What a terribly invasive way to be attacked!

Btw, so grabbing your first book. Thank you!

    1. Patrick thumbed the actuating switch. The meter long blade, pulsing with blue energy, flashed in his hand. Legs apart, blade held forward, he readied himself for battle.
"Lightsaber?" Suko did not look impressed. "Those things never work. Don't you know?"

    2. Looking down at the energy blade in his hand, Patrick glanced back at her and replied, "Really? Nobody told me. It always looked good in the movies."

After shutting down the weapon, Patrick returned the metal cylinder to the hook on his belt and walked away while muttering, "I'm going to go get my katana."

    3. Screw the light sabers and energy blades...give me a disintegrator cannon! No worry, no fuss! (but definitely a mess for someone to clean up)

  6. Argh, your page keeps eating my comments. This is payback for my stupid captcha issues, right?

"Andraste", isn't that Celtic for "War Goddess"? You are so cool.
Also, I keep waiting for Sigrid to snarl, "Get out of my head, b****!"

    1. I often end up battling many of these blogs. It's the word-verification mini-games that are my bane.

    2. Oh, and, damn - I wish I'd thought of that line. That would be awesome! Is that from something or can I steal it?
